New Version of the Partnership’s Code of Conduct

As a partner, you commit to following the Code of conduct for equal access and wellbeing. Since the first version was launched in 2022, the partnership has evolved, making it necessary to revise the code as well. The new version is more up-to-date and easier to apply.

Feedback and experiences from the first two years showed that the previous code was too complex and difficult to implement in practice. Therefore, in collaboration with a group of partners and an external knowledge partner, we have made a series of adjustments to the code. These revisions take feedback into account, incorporate new insights on mental health and wellbeing, and allow for greater flexibility in implementing the code.

Universal principles provide a framework for action

The three new principles entail fewer requirements on specific activities and instead establish a framework for discussions and efforts toward equal access and wellbeing, allowing each organisation to define the content based on their own context, priorities, and processes.

This broader framework also includes mental health and wellbeing, drawing on insights from the research project When Music Speaks, which highlights the need for increased focus on wellbeing in the music industry.

The principles continue to be supported by suggested activities, but there is now greater autonomy in how they can be put into practice.
