Relaunch of the Standard for Safe Working Places

We are now relaunching the Standard for Safe Working Places in an updated version. The standard is a shared tool designed to support the prevention and handling of discrimination, inappropriate conduct and sexual harassment in the music industry.

The standard has been developed in collaboration with IFPI, the Danish Music Publishers Association, the Danish Association of Agents, DUP, Danish Artist Managers, and representatives from several of the larger commercial companies in the industry.

The purpose of the standard is to establish shared frameworks and clear expectations for professional behaviour across the many different working environments that characterize the music industry. It serves as a practical tool for proactive dialogue, prevention and handling – both within companies and in their collaborative relationships.

Zero tolerance for inappropriate conduct

The standard operates with zero tolerance for inappropriate conduct, but it cannot stand alone. Creating safe working places requires more than a single standard. However, it marks an important first step: a shared foundation where we clearly define what we do not accept, enabling us to move towards a more active conversation about the behaviours and culture we want to see instead.

The relaunch is therefore an invitation to continue shared responsibility and action in the work towards a safer and more professional music industry.
