How can everyone get equal access to achieving their full professional potential in the music industry – in creative, performing, and leadership roles, both on and off stage?
#1 We commit our partners to a common minimum standard
All partners must comply to the partnership’s Code of Conduct for Equal Access and Wellbeing and work with the principles of the code. These principles indicate a movement – away from an undesirable approach and towards a desired one. While the principles are universal, each partner can work with them in various ways. Each partner should create a plan for how they will actively work to implement the principles, as change and results require a systematic effort.

#2 We use data as a tool for change
The annual report on equal access provides data on the gender balance and diversity across the music industry’s various sectors, creating a common baseline at both organisational and activity levels. All partners must report annually to be part of the partnership.
The report started in 2023 and is expanded with more key figures and nuances year by year.

#3 We bring together actors across the music industry’s sectors and professions
We gather music industry actors to find and develop data-based and sustainable solutions to specific challenges. We do this at an annual industry day where all partners come together, and we do it by convening in smaller groups and networks.
